Flipping properties, has been a hot topic on the news. In our real estate board contracts, there is provision for assigning contracts to another party.
It has not been a worry, until this real estate frenzy came to be. At our office, to prevent any possible illegal or unethical behavior, we simply write in the contract with the seller’s authorization, that the contract is not assignable. Therefore the name and address on the contract, must be the same that is on the transfer documents at completion
